Holiday Names

I was wondering what “Holiday” names you could come up with. For example my friend had a baby girl on Christmas eve and named her Alexandra Noel, because Noel goes with Christmas. I thought that was very cute and original. Are there any other names you can come up with that have a holiday reference? TIA!

there are several for Christmas for girls: Noelle, Nicole (feminine form of St. Nick), Christine (or any version like Christa, Christi etc), Holly, Angel, Starr. the name Natalie, although not sounding like a Christmas word, means "born at Christmas time".

for boys I can only think of Christopher and Nicholas.

there are girls named Autumn and Summer, seasons not holidays. And April, May and June, months.

as far as other holidays I can't think of any. Lily, maybe for a girl born around Easter. or Peter - for Peter Rabbit, but that'd be stretching it a bit.

Liberty or Cadence for Independence Day.

Patrick or Patricia for St. Patrick's.

I'm guessing I'm in the minoroty on this, but I have never seen the point in giving a child a name relating to the time of year he was born. A child does not need a name to remind him of when he was born. He has his BIRTHDAY for that.

Nobody *needs* to name a child after a holiday near or on their birthday. But I love the name Natalia and because it means born on Christmas it makes more sense for a Christmas baby.

Other "holiday" names I like:

Christmas:

Natalia

Tasha

Easter:

Pascal

Pasha

Christmas/Easter:

(There are multiple spellings for all of these)

Christa

Christian

Christina

Christine

I agree with the other poster about seasonal/holiday names there really is no sense in it! There is this women whose DDs go to the same cheerleading gym where I coach she has 5 children 1 boy and 4 girls her sons name is Tucker which I like. But her daughters name are April,Summer, Winter and Autumn. I think that is just to much although I do like the name Winter. Also I was addicted to that old TV show Designing Women(anyone remember that?) When I hear the name Noelle the ONLY thing I can think of is that pig that Susan had in the later shows, maybe I am crazy.

I knew twins in high school who were born Christmas day. They were Holly and Noel.

And someone from my EC a couple of years ago gave her DD the middle name Millenia, since our babies were born in 2000.
