How about Inga?

I posted a poll on Pia and Astrid and they weren't exactly met with rave reviews. We are looking for a Scandinavian name. Last night we reviewed the lists again and dh and I both thought Inga has a nice sound. Oh, and it's pronounced Ing-Ga.

WDYT?

Inga is not a favorite of mine, I like Astrid much better, or even Ingrid.

Some other scandinavian names I like:
Elin *
Britta
Linnea *
Kristin
Lena
Thora
Lisbet
Sonja

I agree w/ pp that Inga is not that great sounding. I like several of her other suggestions, especially Linnea & Kristin.

I personally think that Inga is a bit too stereotypical-scandinavian-girl-in-a-movie name but I like the idea. Someone I know is named Indra though and I think that is beautiful!

When I think of Inga I can't think of anything, but an ugly old masculine lady like the dolphin trainer assistant in the movie 51st dates.
