Would you pronounce Eva as "Ee-va or Aa-va"??

Thanks for the input.

Thanks for everyone's responses. I also pronounce Eva as Eve-va but my husband is German and he pronounces Eva as Ay-va. We both like the name pronounced "Aa-va' but he prefers to spell it Eva b/c in German it is pronounced "Aa-va" and we just wondered how many people would be mispronouncing it...I guess everyone.
Thanks.

My husband's family has two Evas in the family. One has a French heritage and pronounces her name EE-va. The other is from Poland and pronounces it Ava. A bit confusing, especially since some members of the family can't seem to grasp this and call the French Eva "Ava" all the time. I'm never sure who they are talking about! If you are going to live in the U.S., and want it pronounced Ava then I would spell it Ava and save yourselves a lot of trouble.
