I think any of those are fine...I like almost all of them. There are some spellings that I like better than others, but I like them all... I think I prefer Abby or Abbey... Abbie looks almost like it could possibly go for a boy (kind of like Eddie, but Abbie) and Abbi seems like it's "missing" something... good luck! :-)

My favorite is the traditional Abby, followed by Abbi. My least favorite is Abbey b/c it makes me think of a convent. Abbie is okay, but not as nice as Abby or Abbi, IMO.

Well we already know I wouldn't (I have an Abigail ... but not an "Abby" LOL), but if I had to choose I actually much prefer Abbie. Abby and Abbey both remind me of the word, as a pp mentioned, and Abbi just looks like someone forgot the "e."

I was very curious as to what you would think.
If this baby is a girl it will most likely be Abrielle and while I would prefer to keep her name "intact" I thought I should at least have a plan as to how to spell it.
I have always preferred Abbie and it seems to make the most sense with Abrielle since the "ie" is already there, right??

Oooh, good choice on the Abbie spelling, in that case.

Also, if you're not sold on Abbie as the nn (if you end up using one), you could also use Allie/Ally, Elle/Ellie or Bri, of course (but all of them are just as popular as Abbie, I suppose, so not much difference unless you really love one more). If you want something just a bit less common, Abrie would be a really cute nn. ;)

BTW, you might not recall, but Kaitlyn's mn is Abrielle. I've heard simply Brielle a few times since she was born, but hardly ever Abrielle. Pretty and familiar, but definitely not common. Nice choice!

Okay, I didn't like Abbie so well before, but now that I know it would be short for Abrielle, it makes more "sense" to me, and I like it a lot. Abrielle is a gorgeous name, and I love that it has several nickname options in case she ever chooses to use them.

Going back to change my vote now...

I knew Kaitlyn's middle name was Abrielle and I have only seen one other Abrielle (in a newspaper announcement over 5 yrs ago).
I LOVE Abrie but our last name starts with "Br" so I just can't do that to the kid!
I actually came up with Abrielle in college, DH and I had been on and off since High School and I just knew he was "the one." His name is Gabriel Eugene (goes by Gabe) so DD would be Abrielle Geena. Well, I'm no longer hell-bent on the "Geena" but he is so we shall see. He is firmly against Genevieve so that is out. I don't mind Geena I just seem to remember getting a lot of flack here the one time I brought it up. Oh well!!

Well you could always go with Abrielle Eugenie (more like u-zhen-ee than Eugene ... it's actually very pretty IMO) or simply Eugenia. ;) Even if you just go with Geena or another mn, I think the name works great for you, and love that it's for daddy.
