A heartfelt thanks to everyone who voted. DH and I will be choosing between Kailen Lucas and Matteo Vincent for our baby.

I haven't read past this message, but my first thought was that I really like the name you are considering (I also posted about Kyler too :) but I would encourage you to use the Kylin spelling....or something like it, maybe Kyelin...only because Kailin looks rather feminine to me... I know that Kai is a boy's name, so Kailin makes sense, but I look at it and see Kay-lin... which sounds like a girl's name to me. This is just my .02...but I think Kylin is a great name :) I love Kylin Matteo... I voted for Kylin Noah..but also really like Kylin Lucas.

Hi!

I just wanted to put my .02 in here- I know you are asking opinions on MN's, and I have to agree with a previous poster that Kailen Matteo sounds very good together. That would be my first choice, and out of the list you provided I like Kailen Zane (Kailen Lucas seems too "L" heavy, and Kailen Noah seems too "n" heavy).

My first impression when I read your heading for the post was that you were looking for a girls name (pronounced like Kaylen). I know others have mentioned that and I do realize you were not asking for opinions on the first name. I do know a little boy named Kai, which I think you mentioned you wanted to use as a nn therefore the reasoning for spelling it Kailen. What about Kailand or Kailon? Or as someone else posted Kai Matteo or Kai Lucas? Just a suggestion, obviously, take it or leave it. I'm not trying to be nosy but just wanted to give my first impression of the name. I do love "Kai" though and think its pretty cool.

Good luck and let us know what you decide!
