Actually, I prefer the spelling "Isabel"... with the nickname "Isa" (eee-sah). With so many bella and belle names these days, this might be a nice choice for you as well. Good luck!

Both names are beautiful. I think it would help people to decide if you had a mn picked out, or could tell us how the last name starts. Some names sound better if they don'/do end with a vowel sound.

I prefer Isobel, which is the Scottish form (according to my research). Isabel is Spanish. I like Isobel because it looks more grown-up than Isabelle and reminds me less of the phrase "is a bell."

I love Isabella, it can always be shortened to Isabelle! Like a lot of times Diana is called Diane, kwim?
