We just found out we are having a girl!!! (due 6/29). You may remember me from having narrowed to 29 names. We are now down to 4 that dh and I both like. Please help us choose! I have come to realize that I like 2 types of names, those with retro chic, urban "moxy" and those with a sweet, classic Victorian, Bronte novel quality. One is pigtails and red gingham and denim, the other is giant bow atop pulled back hair, organza collared dress, white tights, black mary janes, miniature pea coat. Does that make any sense? I think these 4 names have both, but lean one way or the other. Last name is Farrelly(pronounced like farley). I also want something not too popular, which I don't think any of these are. Thank you!!!!!!!!

Veronica Frances

Lucy Katrina

Ava Elizabeth

Lola Frances

I love Ava Elizabeth!!! I have always loved the name Ava, but it is too close to my MIL's name, Eva (we do not get along!) Also, my oldest daughter's name is Elisabeth, so obviously I am partial to that name!

your descriptions are so cute! Is this your first girl? Sounds like! I remember how excited I was when I was having my first. I thought of things just like that!!

Veronica Frances: Cute, Roni will very likely be a nn. Make sure you're okay with that because while you may never call her this, it's very likely it will get shortened down at school by friends and/or the teacher! I am a teacher and have done this before to names. It's just easier sometimes. I have a 6 yr old named Maylee and I still adore her name. I never, ever, ever planned on calling her May, but over the years I have and when she went to Kindergarten it seemed everyone called her this!! Just something to think about!!

Lucy Katrina: I like it okay, but not my fav.

Ava Elizabeth - Love! I love the name Elizabeth as well. Ava Grace is also a great combo.

Lola Frances - I am sorry to say this, but Lola reminds me of the cute bulldog on the Osbournes. It's all I can see when I hear this name. Also I don't think it's that nice!!

Good Luck,

Brooke, Maylee Alexis, Alyssa Kate and Allison Claire
