Jackson is way overdone, which is unfortunate, since I love Jack. Unless he is the "son of Jack" (as Jackson means) I wouldn't use it.

It does kind of have a special meaning beacuse my name is Jacquelyn, and my Dad's name is Jack. I just hate when a name I've always loved suddenly becomes so trendy....

I know :( Jack and Samuel are both two all-time favourites of mine, but they are just SO popular!!

I think Jack Morgan is much stronger. To me, Jackson is trendy, Jack is classic. Both, of course, are popular. Good luck!

Than I would definitely say that Jackson would definitely work for you!

Together, they kind of sound like the beginnings of a law firm, if you want my first impression.

I actually love the meaning behind Jackson for you, but I don't like Jackson as a fn with Morgan. It's not just the lack of flow (both being two-syllables ending in the -on/an sound), but more the fact that either can be a given name OR surname, and since Jackson seems more common/familiar as a surname (despite its current popularity), it almost seems like they should be reversed -- and I'm sure they would be, quite often. ;)

I'd either use Jack (or John, nn Jack) Morgan or keep Jackson in the mn slot, where it won't be so problematic.

it has too much dissonance: which means that it does not work because these two names end in the exact same letter : "n".

some starter ideas?

girl:

"Jasa Morgan".

boy:

"Garrett Morgan".

(Assonance is better than dissonance; it is referred to as "poetic").
