I think Taryn is beautiful! If you really need to use Journey (which I don't like at all) maybe Taryn Journey. I strongly recommend NOT using it for the first name. Have you ever considered Teagan or Kinzley?

I agree, Taryn is a wonderful name, I can't wrap my head around Journey though. I do like the suggestion of switching it around though--Taryn Journey. But as I always say, if it is something that really connects with you, than use what you have origianally stated.

Are you kidding? Seriously. Will you like the name Journey Taryn in like 10 years? Okay, it's obvious. I don't like the name. I think probably your child will be annoyed with you for like 18 years b/c she will be picked on her entire school career. But hey, I can't change your opinion. You know when the name is right for you. I picked a name for my girl I loved and I didn't care if it was too popular or not popular enough. Everyone could hate and it wouldn't have changed my mind. But since you're asking, I'm going to be honest. The name stinks(

This is not a name that I personally would use b/c it's nms, but I don't see anything wrong with it. The name Journey grew on me after watching Bill Cosby's show after the Cosby Show -- just called Cosby? Anyway, a girl on there was named Journey, and she was sweet, smart, sassy, and fun. Like I said, it's not a name that I would personally use, but I think it works for some people.

If you love it, I say go with it. And if your DD isn't as fond of Journey, she could always decide to go by her middle name when she's older.

Good luck to you!

I like Taryn, it's pretty and unique. But I'm not a fan of Journey. I just seems too out there to me. If it has some significance for you, I agree with the suggestion to use it as a middle name. I think it flows better that way anyway.

I don't like the name Journey at all, but Taryn is pretty. Switch it up and it sounds a little better.

Hi,

I am just reading this now. I agree withn you Ricky, the name Journey stinks! She should have a common girls name. When it comes time for me to have kids, I will give them names like Lisa or Jen, or Paul or Robert is they are boys.

How about Jersey? I like Journey, it's different, but not weird.

I'm not sure how well they go together, but i LOVE journey, it's a more sophisticated version of Gypsy, it's a great meaning, somebody who always has a path to follow, very symbolic. Taryn is a nice name too. Lovely.
