Just my opinion but I think Judith would be a nice middle name and a great way to honor your mother. We kind of did that with my ds. His name is Landon Paul. My sweet mom who has been deceased for four years now and the heart of her grandchildren, was named Pauline. It is the male version of her name and I just know she would be so thrilled. I actually hadn't even thought of the mn Paul, dh did. I quickly agreed to it because of my mom's name :o) Kathy

Although the name is nms, it is nice that it would be used to remember someone you loved. Maybe you could use it as a mn?

It would be wonderful to honor your mother. If you decide you don't want to use it as a first name, you can use it as a middle name.

I think Judith/Judy is a nice name.

I think that Judith would be perfect for a middle name. I am of the belief that the middle name should have special meaning, not just sound good. No one really knows the middle name other than family.

It not my style (I know alot of older women with this name) BUT since it's your mother's name, I can understand the desire to use it.

Why not use it as a middle name. or use a cute nick name JUDE.

I've thought of using my grandfather's name who dies from cancer a few years ago. I still miss him. BUT, his name was Kossuth.

Gideon Kossuth

My grandfather is remembered but my child would have their own name.

Sorry about your mom-I think it's nice you want to name your daughter after her but I think Judith is an "old lady" sounding name-How about using it as the middle name?? I have 2 sons but when I considered a girls name I was going to use my moms for the middle-(her name is Dolores) but she hates her name & asked me not to!! I didn't have to worry about it because I had boys but my youngest son was born on her birthday!
