What person possibly voted "hate it" in THIS poll? If there had been an option for "jumping up and down I love it so much" that would have been my vote. Juliet is gorgeous, and I love it even more paired with Alice, which is one of my favorite names. Don't worry about the Julie/Jules thing. Calm down. Stick to your guns. Juliet is a great name. I really don't think you could possibly regret it!

Let us know what you decide.

Hmm...nearly one third "hate it"? That is not such a great response, but maybe I should consider it a compliment since the trendy names are the ones people always love? Is this board consistent with the "general public"?

Juliet is a lovely name. Use it if you love it!

As far as the whole voting/opinions on these sites... take it all with a grain of salt. Recently at a playgroup I attended, I overheard two women talking/laughing about how they vote "Hate it" for names that they love, hoping that people won't use them. In other words, there is a very distinct possibility that many of those who voted "hate it" re: Juliet may actually have a little Juliet in their home, or plan to very soon! :)

I love Juliet. I really don't like it with Alice though but if that is what you like go for it. Juliet is beautiful.

Well, now an even half "LOVE IT." I think that's about the best you're gonna' do on this board unless you name your child something so benign and boring that is has no personality at all, or you give her a completely normal name, but stick in 5 Y's where they don't belong. There are hundreds of different tastes expressed on this board (luckily), so I think that getting half of us to agree on anything is quite an accomplishment. And, 22% of the population will "HATE" any name you come up with, even if it's John or Anna. You know?

Juliet's gorgeous. I can't wait for her to be born so that it will become official, and so that she can start becoming your little baby girl Juliet Alice. Love, love, love.

Thanks so much for the thumbs up, ab.

I noticed in your profile you are in law school - good luck, I remember that! Fourteen years since I took the bar exam and now I will have 4 kids! But still practicing, so it can be done.

Thanks again.

Thanks for your encouragement. The bar is in July, and I just found out that I have a job (yippee!) as a prosecutor in a county attorney's office. Can't wait...so excited! But, the bar exam, now that's a different story.

It's great to hear that you can have four kids and still be a lawyer. I hope to have at least that many one day.

Excellent! A job! Sounds great.

Would you believe I still work at the same law firm I started at when I took the bar. But now I am part-time/ hourly and work at home writing briefs (hence the many kids). I would say having a bunch of kids and lawyering full time is virtually impossible, but part-time is totally do-able.

You must be so thrilled law school is almost over!!!

I love the name Juliet. I think it's very feminine. Have you considered spelling it Juliette? Personally I like the either spelling so I was just wondering if you've considered it.
