Ok, my dh has decided if we have a boy he wants to name him Jesse. But he also likes it for a girl! Not Jessica, mind you. Just Jessie. I've never liked the name Jessica much. But I have mixed feelings about this name for a girl. What do ya'll think?

Jessie sounds far too nicknamish to me for it to be the given name. I would try to talk DH out of it, or at least to have a full name, and then Jessie as the nn. Jessie can be a nn for these names, too, I guess:

Jessamyn

Jacinda

Or, you can have the first name start with the "Je-" and the mn start with "Se-" and use the nn Jessie by combining the two:

Jacqueline Sydney

Jeanette Selina...

well, best of luck to you!

I don't like either jessie or jessica. jessica is nms, and jessie just seems too informal. It would work ok as a child, but I can't picture an adult Jessica without it being short for Jessica.

Love it love it love it!!!!!!

My family is French and Spanish and I would love for my kids to have French or Spanish name but if it wasn't for that I would choose an English name for a girl like Jessie or Jamie. Good choice!
