I hate the name Kelsea. It either makes me think of some spoiled two-year-old, or some squeaky, 20-year-old blonde who smacks her gum, twirls her hair, and says "like, you know" a lot as she trips over her 4-inch heels.
Grace is a great middle name, though. Why don't you use it as her first name? Although it's become very popular as a middle name--almost a filler name--it's not nearly so popular as a first name.
Well, I guess it's a good thing I'm not naming your child then. :-) LOL
Thanks for your input, but after another discussion with DH we've decided on Kelsea. Grace will be her middle name in honor of my grandmother - we prefer a first name which is a little more unusual.
Thanks again!

Yes, we considered those spellings. With Kelsey all I think of is the actor Kelsey Grammar and Kelsie and Kelsi are a bit too cutsie. I think Kelsea is the prettiest when written.
Thanks!

I realy like the name Kelsey. We know a really sweet one. I'm not sure about the spelling Kelsea because when I first read it, I thought it was "Ken-see-a." I would use Kelsey and ignore Kelsey Grammer's association. By the time she grows up, he'll be long gone anyway.
I like the name Kelsey a lot, not sure I like your twist on spelling it similarly to the name Chelsea.
I dislike the middle name Grace for several reasons - too old-fashioned, it's become practically a "no-thought" middle name, so overused as a middle lately, and I don't like how the s in Kelsea and the soft C in Grace have the same sound. Grace just doesn't fit with Kelsea to me.
so, unless it's for honoring a family member, I'd look for a "spunkier" middle that will fit with Kelsey more.

I love the name, but not sure I like the spelling.
How about Kelsey or Kelsie or even Kelsi?
