For the last time!

I promise, this will be the last time I ask this of you. Last night my mother asked what names we were thinking of, which I've been good about NOT sharing names w/ them up till now. But, since she asked, and I'm due on the 19th, I told her. Of course, she gives her opinion, and says she has a negative association of one of the names, which now puts me in a weird position. She told me that they'd (my mom and dad) would get used to it, no matter what we named the baby, BUT still I don't know that I want to knowingly name the baby a name that she's said that about. So, I'm asking you one last time, which name do you think we should choose? Or is there another "Great" name out there for us???

Lydia (Owen and Wyatt are DS's names)
Evie
Vivian

Seriously, all three are nice names. Personally, Evie is nms, at least as a given name, maybe for a nn. Let's see

Owen, Wyatt and Lydia
Owen, Wyatt and Evie
Owen, Wyatt and Vivian

I think for me I really like how Owen, Wyatt and Lydia go together. I have this thing about letters and I think it's neat how Wyatt has a W like Owen and the Lydia would have a Y like Wyatt. JMO! But if it were Evelyn nn Evie that may be really nice too.

Vivian, I have always said Vivian for you, and Vivi is so cute as a nn!

That's funny you say that, I like those kind of things with sib names too. I think that is one of the main reasons I chose Wyatt to go with Owen, b/c I felt the W in Owen the two names kind of "flow" and "fit" together.

Vivian is my favorite from your list. Also really like Vivienne and Viviana. I prerfer Evie as a nickname. Evie doesn't work on a grown woman imo, too childish. How about just Eve, Eva, or Evelyn? I'm not fond of Lydia, I know a lot of folks like this name, but it just doesn't appeal to me. I don't hate it though, much better than many trendy names.

Hello.

Family can be so much fun! (rolling eyes)

I wouldn't second-guess too much. You have three pretty names picked out. Once she gets here, your mom will come to associate

I like that little connection! Some are saying though, that Vivian is too much of a name compared to the simplicity of Owen and Wyatt. What do you think about that?

Hello again. It takes deep thought to get this right, doesn't it? I know; I've been there. When a girl follows a boy, for some reason, it seems especially hard!

My thoughts regarding the following question you asked of me:

"Some are saying that Vivian is too much of a name compared to the simplicity of Owen and Wyatt. What do you think about that?"

As opposed to Lydia? Lydia is ancient, elegant and Biblical. A beautiful name, for sure, but a lot of name next to

Of those three choices I would go with Evie. What is your son Wyatt's mn? My brother and his wife are thinking of that name if they have a boy. Thanks!
