I hope it doesn't get popular... I love the name... I want the name and already had to change the girls name I picked due to the Madison epidemic!!! I know of 8 people close to me who have had kids in the past year or so and all of them are named Madison in some variation of the spelling... I want something unique and ageless... I think Sophie or Sophia could last through life Sophie or Sophia is cute for a baby and child yet is very grown for later in life.... I just fear the child might get called Soapy!!! LOL
I really don't think so; it's more like the names; Emily, madison, emma, and such.Try typing in " the most popular name....." and then your state. Usually it will tell you.
it's around more than it was during the 70s, 80s or 90s, but it's not anything like Madison, Hailey, Emma or Emily.
I don't recommend it without the formal name Sophia though.
you can call her Sophie, but I think it's best for Sophia to be the real name.
good luck
Yes, IMHO, Sophie is becoming popular, but it's a cutie name!
Michelle
Where I live, Sophia and Sofia are huge, huge, huge in the under-5 set. Some are called Sophie, most are not.
yes! but it's still a great name!
Good luck,
