Finally and positive remark!!
I am like the previous poster...a Buffy fan and automatically thought of Charisma Carpenter. But, I still can't say that I like the name. But it would be different without being REALLY out there. What middle names would you put with that??

Lana Charisma, Chrisma Victoria
I'm not real sure.
Sorry, but I'm not a big fan of the name Charisma. The thing that bothers me most about it is the possibility that your DD will not be charismatic. I don't mean that in a bad way, but if she has a more quiet, shy personality, Charisma might feel like a lot to live up to. JMO, though...
What about Charis or Carys instead?
Good luck making a decision!
Like the pp, my biggest concern about Charisma is that if your daughter ISN'T charismatic, it seems a bit ridiculous and contradictory. I often tell people considering the name Chastity that they are asking for trouble, I feel similarly about Charisma.
Also this name has a very negative vibe for me... I'm trying to think of how to phrase this without being offensive, but I'm having a hard time. The only phrase I can think of is "white trash", which is a terrible term, but you get the mental picture that I have of it. Probably this is just an association for me since I knew a family who was so stereotypically "white trash" that they seemed like a caricature of the term, and their eldest daugher was named Charisma. I didn't like the name prior to knowing them, but after meeting her my opinion of it dropped even further.
Additionally, I honestly think Charisma (whether I like it or not being irrelevent) is too close to Christian. The names are VERY matchy since they not only start with the Ch sound, they also have dominant i and r sounds. I do very much like the suggestion of Charis, which seems similar to what you are looking for and yet is much more classy and timeless. It's borderline too close to Christian for me, but I think it would be less confusing that Charisma because of the emphasis on the first syllable (and the a sound) rather than the second syllable (the i r sounds).
Sorry, not a fan here either. :(
Charisma brings to mind either a ditzy, air-head type (sorry for the stereotype LOL) or an all-in-black goth type that's rebelling against her name. ;) Basically, what if she ISN'T charismatic? Just asking for trouble there!
Also, I did read through the posts and definitely think it is too close to your son's name to consider in the first place.
