Let me try again. =) I know you didn't like Nevaeh. How about Charisma?

Hi!
I'll admit that I don't like this name. Like several other posters this just a general wariness of the "virtue" names, because if your daughter doesn't fit the description it's totally unfair. One of my closest friends is a very klutzy (her own description! It was worse when she was a kid) woman named Grace- Grace isn't that common among 30-year-olds, and she was teased endlessly growing up. Grace was the one guaranteed to knock over a desk, drop her plate...etc. It's sort of a standing joke to this day. I'm not saying your daughter will be a tactless geek (that would be me), but it would make life that much worse to be a tactless geek named Charisma. And we all turn out all kinds of unexpected ways...
Anyhow, with your DS Christian, and Nevaeh and Charisma on your girls' list, I'm going to hazard a guess that you're evangelist Christian? In which case, do you like any of the underused biblical names?- there's a wealth of them, meaningful, feminine and strong. I'll list a few which come to mind, but there are tonnes, behindthename.com has most of them (or you could always look through your favourite books of the bible ;)
Jemima- Job's daughter
Keziah- another DD of Job. Also Cassia.
Dinah
Zipporah- Moses' wife
Esther- possibly 'star' in from a Persian language; great lady!
Eve
Ruth
Naomi
Elisabeth
Jael- pron. Yael...brave lady, if I remember correctly.
Miriam, Maryam, Myriam, etc.
Tabitha
Jedidah- mother of Josiah
Jerusha- if you like this, definitely check her story, I don't remember it at all.
Junia- recognises Christ in one story in one of the gospels. It was translated as a man's name for centuries because our lovely ancestors couldn't believe that a woman would play such an important role. grr.
Judith- boring to us, not to today's girls, though.
Martha
Lydia
Mehitabel
Susannah
Phoebe- an early female minister according to Paul (Romans)
Shiphrah (Shifra)
Sarai
Talitha
Tirzah- pron. tier-za, someone on the board has a teenage daughter w/ this name.
Zilla
And there are the feminine forms of the major male figures- Mattea, Marcella, Lucy, Jane/Joanna/Jeanne etc, Petra, Paula, or the names of the early saints and martyrs, if you're comfortable with those, or the apocryphal women and men...Raphaela and Gabrielle come to mind.
HTH!

If you are really interested in a name that is pronounced Niv-ee-ah, you should try out a new spelling. Because Nevaeh is pronounced Neh-vay-uh" so I think you have a double problem with the trendiness and the spelling. Perhaps you could consider Nivea or similar. I believe that's the name of a hand creme, so you may still have some issues. But honestly, even with the lotion reference, I like that more than Nevaeh.
Have you considered Neve (or the traditional spelling Niamh which is pronounced the same way)? That is a more timeless approach to a similar sounding name.
Good luck.
