Is Lorelei Cynthia Mae Thomas too long?

My newest idea for Lorelei's mn is to use my mom's name (Cynthia) and my grandmother's (Mae). Hence, I came up with Lorelei Cynthia Mae Thomas. Is this way too long or is it a nice way to honor both people? Would you hyphenate or not?

Personally, I'd pick one or the other. I really like Lorelei Cynthia. Adding Mae seems like a bit much. (Especially because nine syllables seems like a lot already, making it ten seems unnecessarily long.) Since you aren't done having kids, maybe you could save Mae and use it for a future daughter.
If you really want to use them both, I would definitely not hyphenate. The only time hyphenating makes sense to me is when you are trying to convey that it is really one name. (ie Mary-Ann, Anna-Beth, etc). Cynthia-Mae seems very odd to me. I'd much rather see it as two individual names.
I agree with all the other posters, if you use two family names for one daughter, and then you have another DD, wouldn't you wish you would have saved a special name for her too?

Okay, I think I have a consensus on the subject. Cynthia Mae is WAY TOO LONG for a mn. Thank you for affirming what I think I already knew. I will continue my passionate search for another mn.
