part of the sounding problem is Marissa ending in a vowel and Emily starting with a vowel. part of the problem is where the accents are - the 2nd syllable of Marissa, but teh 1st syllable of Emily.
also, generally, ee-sound enders don't sound very good for middle names.
here are some I think have a better flow: Marissa Nicole, Marissa Corinne, Marissa Kathleen, Marissa Katherine, Marissa Danielle, Marissa Paige, Marissa Janelle, Marissa Jolene, Marissa Lynelle, Marissa Lynette, Marissa Janae, Marissa Danae. you'll notice most of those have the accent on the second syllable of the middle name, and that's why you get the better flow with those.
I voted "no" only b/c of what the initials spell: MES(s). Undaunting, I would say. I do like the name Marissa though. I would pair it w/a middle name that wouldn't cause the initials to spell anything.
Maybe Marissa Jane Smith, or Marissa Laurel Smith.
Best of luck!
