Jason McCormick is my dh's name. ;) Although I actually like all your mn choices, the long "a" sounds in both Jason and Blake are a bit repetitive, as are the "s" sounds in Jason Samuel/Stephen (the -son/Sam- and -son/St__n sounds, KWIM?).

I'm not sure what the reason is for the added Y, however. People DO know how to spell and pronounce Jason. It's a pretty familiar name.

I think Jayson McCormick is great... but the Jayson spelling looks like you are trendy to make the name that used to be really popular seem original.... it just looks misspelled. I prefer Jason by a long shot.

ETA just saw the post that your husband's name is Jay. Even so, Jayson looks wrong. If you want to honour your husband, choose a different name and use Jay as a mn. Jason still has the "jay" sound without looking misspelled.

Thanks, Nikki, but I'm just looking for help on the Middle Name. The first name is set. Sorry you don't like it.

FYI, there's a hockey player named Jason Blake. Probably no one would make this association beyond New Yorkers and hockey fans, though.

I prefer McCormick anyway, but thought I'd mention it...
