Here's some more info.....

DH and I are pretty set on Sarah for a fn. It's not necessarily my first choice, but it's pretty classic and it goes well with big sister Elizabeth. It's the only name DH and I have both liked. We both like the mn's we came up with, but we're having a hard time deciding. For now I'll hold off on what I like and dislike about the options until I've seen the results of the poll.

I voted for Sarah Madelyn because I think it adds something to the classic Sarah-the other mn's are all pretty, but feel a bit like "filler" mn's unless they have some significance...so Sarah Madelyn is a great combo and got my vote!

good luck!

I have always loved the name Sarah Elizabeth, I think it is a nice combo. I also like Sarah Nicole. Of your list my favorite was Sarah Grace and I like Sarah Anne(with the E).

As a Sarah Margaret, I have to say that I like something with more than 2 syllables for the middle name - it sounds better that way, but that could be just because I'm used to it!

I agree with the last post--I like something a bit longer and/or more interesting to add some originality to Sarah. I like Sarah Margaret (I was thinking of it before reading it in the post). Here's some others...

Sarah Gabrielle
Sarah Camille
Sarah Adrienne
Sarah Briony
Sarah Katherine
Sarah Juliet
Sarah Genevieve
Sarah Lillian or Lilianne
Sarah Natalie
Sarah Pauline
Sarah Therese
Sarah Violet

all of those choices are very nice, I have a cousin Sarah Grace. But, they are all so popular. If that doesn't bother you, then my fave is Sarah Grace or Sarah Rose. I also have a cousin Sarah Elizabeh, and another cousin Sarah who's middle name I don't know, these are all my first cousins, btw!

Thanks, everyone. My thoughts are similar to what a lot of you have said. I'm not crazy about one syllable names because our last name is also one syllable. Someone mentioned Sarah Elizabeth, which I think is really pretty, but DD's name is Elizabeth, so we don't want to use it again. We've talked about Sarah Katherine or Sarah Margaret, but DH thinks they sound like nun names. Sarah Grace has gotten the most votes in the poll and that's definitely one of our favorites, except when I looked at the SSA website, Grace was just below Sarah in popularity. There are so many names out there that I don't understand why it's so hard to find ONE that we both love.
