For some reason, Annie, Miller is very masculine in my mind (though I can see Miles or Milo for a girl for you).

I think it's masculine enough to hold its own as a brother to Parker, Graham and Rowan, and knowing how girl-heavy your list is, I'd definitely be prone to keep this one on the boy side. ;)

I have no idea why, but for some reason, I LOVE Miller for a girl, and have no interest in it for a boy. It doesn't really make sense, because I feel like it's a great boy name. I love Miles for a boy, and I even love Milo (though I couldn't use it, since my sister has a dog named Milo!). But Miller...no appeal. Maybe I like it for a girl because of the possibility that we could call her Millie.

Ahhh ... the Millie possibility makes sense. I actually wouldn't find Miller "odd" for a girl -- especially with the sib names I know you love -- I was thinking about it after I posted and it might just be the actual word reference that makes it seem more strictly masculine than Miles or Milo (that, and I think I find the "i" sounds in those slightly more feminine). Not that it makes much sense, given other occupational names used for girls, but that's the only reason I could come up with. ;)

I don't think I mentioned it in my previous comments, but the other reason I preferred Miller for a boy for you (besides your already-full girl list LOL) is that a girl Parker and boy Miller seem somehow less similar than two girls with -er endings ... but if you love it regardless, it definitely could work for you either way.

I know of two Millers (both are under 1).

You made the right choice--Millicent and Elizabeth is one of the best twin sets I've heard lately.

Well thank you Jazz! I am hoping to revive the long lost classic of Millicent which hasn't been in the top 1000 since the mid 60s (www.ssa.gov). My DH was against Miller because he didn't want people to think of the beer.

I'm definitely not looking for a full name to get the nickname Millie. I do like it, but it's not something I love. I just thought it would be a cute nickname for Miller. If I don't use Miller (and it's definitely not a given) I'll use something entirely different (like Graham). But thanks anyway!

I'm not worried about the beer reference at all. My social circle is more the wine and cocktails set, and I hadn't even thought of the beer. I wouldn't name my child "Beer" obviously, but Miller is a great name with a long history and tons of great associations. It also just happens to be one of a million brands of beer.
