sorry, I know you didn't ask for feedback, but I just wanted to point out an association that I have with "Riker"-- it reminds me of "Ryker's Island", which is where they keep inmates in NY.

As far as the other names go, I voted for Liam, b/c I really like that, but I also like Levi, and I almost like Ender..but really prefer Anders.

Best of luck!!!

You've sure got a lot of last names in there.

Oakley, Riker, Cale and Ender are all last names.

Cale is actually the shortend version of Caleb which is a first name. Ender is the first name of a fictional charactor my DH loves. Oakley may have once been an exlusivly last name but so was Kimberly and Sawyer and about a million other names at one point.

Thanks for the tip. Honestly I didn't know about the island and I'm really glad you mentioned it!

I'm not too keen on Anders because my given name is Andrea. But if I were a Susan or a Sally, deffinatly!

Thanks again!

oh, I'm glad! lol, I kind of hesitated to mention it, b/c depending on where you are, I dont' think it would be an issue, but if you live in, near, or are planning to move to NY, you might get some "Ryker" spellings, and "Ryker's Island" associations.

Sometimes, our associations are so personal that it's not going to affect everybody, but sometimes I like to point them out anyway, just in case it sparks a thought that the original poster hadn't thought of before. But sometimes, it's just an explanation for why I personally don't like a name, but that w/out my particular association, I might like it better.

For example, I know one time someone suggested Brody for a boys' name, and I don't think it's a bad name...it's not quite my style, but what made it worse was that there's a proctologist in my area with that last name...so I can't look at it w/a straight face (laughing, or wincing, that's the problem, lol). But how many others are going to know of that doctor, lol? But anyway, that's basically what I meant.

Well, best wishes to you, and good luck finding a name!!

Also Riker is the name of one of the main characters in the Star Trek: Next Generation series. He was the Captian's #1. Just thought I would throw that in there too. Though I think Riker would be

Oh yeah! I forgot about that! William Riker! That's cool!!!!

I'm so wishy-washy on this name right now. Some times it feels bold and original to me and other times it feels just odd.

I actually pulled this name out of my head because I was trying to get an original spin on Ricky. I know a girl by that name but I like it as a boys name... I will have to think some more on this.

Thanks for that!
