I will always associate Dawson with Dawson's Creek, unfortunately!

(I chose Beckett b/c I think the nn Beck is cute.)

Nolan Beckett would make a lovely combo. ;) Just a thought!

I like Isaac or Beckett the best.

The only one I really dislike and URGE you not to use is Cullen. I'm not sure what part of the country you live in, but in NJ there is a really infamous legal case going on against a serial killer named Charles Cullen. He was a nurse at various hospitals in the NJ/PA area and over the course of about 16 years he killed somewhere between 30-40 people he "deemed" ready to die. One of the people was actually the priest at the Catholic Church in my town. So.....that name bothers me.

Thanks for the post about the name Cullen. I visited Cullen, Scotland in the summer of 1998 for 2 weeks and it is the most beautiful place on earth to me. That's why I would like to use it. Plus, I live in Kansas and have never heard of the guy Charles Cullen. But thanks for the info definitely! (My DH hates the name, he thinks it sounds like "colon") :)

Regarding the Charles Cullen info ...

If it helps, I was born in Easton, PA (at a hospital Charles Cullen later worked) and raised in Bethlehem (the city where he was born), and I have lived within an hour of the area my entire life. I'm 15 minutes from the first hospital he worked at, had my second dd at another he was employed by and my third at yet another. My father, who has a heart condition, has also been a patient at a FIFTH hospital this man worked at. Needless to say, this is a pretty big story around here. However, he is generally referred to as the "killer nurse" or other names along those lines. Certainly, his name is known, but I wouldn't have been able to think of it immediately and would definitely not automatically associate him with the given name Cullen (which I like a lot, btw).

Incidentally, I think your reasons for liking Cullen are great, and it'd be a shame not to use it (assuming you can get dh on board!). I've heard the "colon" comment regarding Colin, but not Cullen. You should bring that up as an alternative and maybe he'll decide he likes Cullen better (sneaky LOL).
