I voted for Amelia (Mia). I would have voted hands down for Catherine but can not stand the nickname Cassie. Just drums up a low class image for me. Plus, as a nn for Catherine, it sounds like it is suppose to be Cathy but you have a lisp. I love Catherine by itself but also think the nicknames Cate and Cat are adorable.

Good luck.

Why the need for nicknames? They're great names without them.

I really like both Alyssa (nn Ally) and Cassidy. I don't care much for the nn Cassie but I did vote for Cassidy because Alyssa seems sooo popular right now.

Your list has a lot of great names Good Luck!

I like traditional names, so Amelia, Catherine and Jaqueline would be on my list. The nn Jacey is nms at all, though. Olivia is a traditional name, but too old ladyish for me, even though so many little girls have it! Sarah is a nice name. Popular, but has stood the test of time. Samantha is OK, but not as solid a name as the others above.

Alyssa I just don't like the sound of and I've never met a nice one. Kind of harsh, huh?
Cassidy is just so cowboy-ish. It just sounds silly for a girl IMO. Hallie/Haley etc is just so overdone. I think it would really date her. Taylor is nms. It would also date her.

I think most of these names have been overdone recently, except for Cassidy. I like to choose names so a child has a name that they can call their own. I think Cassidy is cute, and I like Cassie even better. What about Cassandra nn Cassie? I think you get the same feel but it sounds more feminine to me, it will probably fit better on a grown woman, she will have more nickname options in the future, and the style is more in keeping with your traditional picks like Amelia.
