If you hear the name Sage - does it sound like a boy's name or a girl's name to you??

I've ALWAYS thought it would be a girls name only (it sounds so feminine to me!) :)

but just curious what others thought...

thanx!

Sylvester Stallone has a son named Sage (I didn't thru all the responses, so maybe someone already said that)

but there's a little girl on the soap "As The World Turns" named Sage - and that was the first time I ever heard it, so it's linked to 'girl' in my mind. it's her name on the soap, not in real life

Sage makes a great girl's name ... but I would HATE to see it on a boy! It's so feminine to me.

It is a unisex name, so that can turn off many parents who are thinking of it for a boy. It seems like as soon as a name becomes used for girls it becomes "too feminine" for boys. But I agree with Kelli, it can work for boys or girls.

Totally unisex to me, but leaning a little more to the masculine side. (They used to refer to wise men as sages, so I tend to think as much of people as plants.) Besides, the stuff TASTES more masculine.

I think gender neutral.
