I didn't get a chance to vote in your poll. I would've voted for Iain, but I think the spelling Ian is better.

Callan isn't bad, but I know one girl with that name (about 14-15 years old), so that would make me shy away from it for a boy.

the other three are too unusual for my tastes, but the biggest problem I see with all of them is that they all end in N and Nathaniel starts with an N, it's a difficult transition for the tongue to make - runs together.

if Nathaniel is a necessity, and you aren't 100 percent sold on any of those names, I'd suggest trying to find a few to consider that do not end in N.

it's a little hard to get a style read on your list, but here's my attempt at some that would seem to fit your style and not end in N

Alex, Conner, Derek, Eric, Garrett, Hunter, Jared, Kyle or Kyler, Luke or Lucas, Parker, Rory, Rhett, Reece, Spencer, Trevor, Tyler, Zachary.

good luck
