I voted for Lexi, because I think it's spunky feminine and I really like that sort of nn on a girl but I wanted to suggest Xandra too. I have an Alexander who goes by Xander and thought the feminine version would sound just as gorgeous on a girl.

HTH, some!

Thanks so much everyone for your votes and suggestions! Alexandria is a name I have loved since I was little. For those who suggested Allie, unfortunately I can't use it because it is my nn only I spell it Ali (full name is Alison). And, the Dre idea is very cute, but it would rhyme with my dd nickname which is Bri, sounds like Bree (her full name is Sabrina). I do really like the idea of Alix. It just feminizes Alex so much. I'll suggest that to my dh! Luckily I don't have to figure this out for a while, we don't plan on having any more for a couple years. But, if we do have another girl, this is most likely the name. I have a friend with a daughter named Alexis, called Lexi, so I was really trying to avoid that nn, although I do love it.

Thanks again :-)

Shelby, thanks for the definite on Sasha! I absolutely LOVE that name, but I don't think I could ever convince my dh to like it. If it was just up to me, I'd possibly even name a girl Sasha without a more formal name. Although I do love Alexandria too. It's just such a long name. Would anyone know how I got the nn of Sasha if we used that? Or is it too obscure?

Thanks,

Ali
