Both Alex and Lexi are popular, but I prefer Alex because it seems more classy and less cutesy and trendy. I do LOVE the ideas of Andra and Sasha, a bit more unique but still lovely.
Thanks for your input. My whole story is that we are trying to name the baby after my Grandfather Lev. All "L" girl names haven't quite done it for us. So we decided on Alexandra, since L is a dominant letter in the name. But I do want her to have nn w/ an "L". Hence the poll.. Thanks so much, and if you think of any intersting L names , let us know, I still have 3.5 wk's til EDD :)
I voted Alex because I absolutly LOVE that as a nick name for a girl.
However, if you'd like the L name, I like "Lex" as the name. Lexi is just so popular and cutsey (my nice is almost 4 and named Alexis, Lexi for short.)
I'm also shooting for Alexandra if I'm having a girl....the boyfriend isn't too keen since his last name starts with an A....Eh....
