It was a toss up for me. I like DH's name Neil, but I see that Issac Neil doesn't fit well. So you added the -son. I think it is neat after DH's name, but it just makes me want to say Nelson instead.

I like Noble as a mn. It is different and sounds good with Issac. That got my vote.

When I saw the title I was thinking Noble but when I saw the first name and said it out loud together I think Neilson sounds great with it. And it is even more special because of you husband.

Well, y'all are making it tough for me! We had settled on Noble, but thought I'd post here to see what folks thought. DH said he thinks Neilson sounds too much like a last name; which it does, but I guess THAT doesn't matter (lots of people use last names for middle names). We did already use "Nathaneil" for another son (spelling it with "neil" at the end, like my husband's name), so that might be playing into our leaning toward Noble too. Thanks for the input and votes!

I actually think they both sound like lns (wasn't Noble a family name for you ... I'm sorry my memory's been terrible as of late LOL). That's not a bad thing though. Especially in the case of Neilson, because I think most -son names started out that way ... the ln would be ____-son for the father, and these then began being used as first names. Anyway, it's nice to see a -son name being used correctly. :) I like Neilson.
