The only thing I've considered about Stefan is on whether to use this spelling for the pronunciation I was seeking ('steff-in'). We decided on the spelling Steffen because I did not want people to pronounce it 'STEF-ahn', which we don't like, and is what we would get if we spelt it Stefan. I've LOVED Quinn for a long time now and not sure why I kept looking past it. It is a name that is up for serious consideration.
We LOVE Emerick but if we are to have a boy next and call him Emerick Joel and we have a girl after that we can't use Emera Brynn which we LOVE just that much more. Emerick and Emera are too close for siblings. If I have to choose one I choose Emera over Emerick. If we are to have 2 more boys then the last one will definitely be Emerick Joel.
I think of Quinn being a girls name, maybe thats becuase I have know or heard of 4 Quinns, all girls. It is also a girl's name on a commercial for Wal-Mart Just so you know, in case you do not like unisex names. Steffen however, doesn't seem to even be a consideration for a girl name.
