I voted medium. :) The only reason I didn't vote long is because I have seen people with long first and second names having trouble fitting it places. My sister is Kathleen MacKenzie and you should see how squished her sig is on the back of a credit card!

Then again, my daughter's got a long name.. Josephine MacKenzie. It *is* long (9,letters & 9 letters) but it sounded just right. If you've got a long name that just sounds perfect to you, ignore everything to use it!

I think the number of sylables matters more than the actuall length of the name. In your examples, Ava and Charlotte sounded equally nice because they both have 2 sylables. I wouldn't use a name with more than 2.

All three of your examples have a two syllable first name with a one syllable middle name, a combination that always rings true, esp with a longer last name. I voted for my favorite of the three!
