I like Francesca Pearl and Josephine Claire nn Joey or Josie. I met someone named Francesca once with a nn pronounced Chessa, but I'm not sure how she spelled it. Maybe Cesca/Cesa/Chessa/Cessa? Does anyone know? Anyway, I thought it was really cute. Good Luck!

My mom was a Francesca, so as far as knowing her various nn's I'm pretty sure that Cesca would be pronounced Chess-ka

Cesa would be Sess-a (and seems silly sounding to boot)

Chessa is Chess-ah and

Cessa would be said Sess-a too. Actually, Cesa would phonetically be See-sa (like a mutilated see-saw!) so unless folks knew she was Francesca you wouldn't get anything but See-sa.

Francesca Pearl is completely gorgeous and Josephine Claire is a family name combo I toyed with for awhile (so of course I love it)!

I think Francesca's a bit more exotic sounding, especially with the nn Cesca.. while Josephine's a bit sweeter, with the standard Jo, Josie or Joey nn's. Posy or Fifi are slightly more exotic nn's for Josephine.

JMHO, as always!

I love the name Maura, it's so beautiful! Both Pearl and Claire are pretty mn's, but I think Maura Claire is just gorgeous :) My second favorite is Violet Pearl :)

good luck!

I'm in the minority I see but I love Beatrix--different, but beautiful. I bet it will come back shortly as so many older names have. Thoughts on the other names:

Josephine: my cousin is Josephine and I really like the full version of the name, but I don't like "jo" as a nn--people always expect a man when they hear Jo is coming or whatever.

Violet: just doesn't seem all that high-class to me. Don't know why. Also I hate "Vi".

Maura: doesn't sound feminine to me. Sounds like a cow to me.

Helena: love it. gorgeous.

Francesca: again, love the full name if you'd use the full name. Frannie or Francie though? No.

Pearl and Claire are both nice; think I prefer Claire.
