I would spell it Asia, which was not one of your options.

I think if you are going to use a name like Asia, you should at least stick to a NORMAL spelling. The teasing will be less.....

I'd just spell it "Asia". If I had to pick from your list, I guess I would suggest Aija...I would not pronounce some of the other spellings the same way. Even "Aija"...it might get pronounced EYE-zhah (?). But I think it looks the best out of the rest of your selections.

Aja-- I'd pronounce this AH-zhah

Aisha-- eye-EE-sha

well, best of luck to you!

Thank you all for taking time to answer my question..My whole dilema with just using the spelling Asia, is that I like the middle name Noelle with it. but, if you use first name with middle initial (Asia N) it spells asian, which generally would not really be a big deal however, my husband is half japanese. I just think that would be too tacky.. well thanks a bunch, I just may need to change my choice for a middle name.

If that's the case, I can completely understand why the standard spelling of Asia (while absolutely gorgeous) wouldn't be good. (You should've said that at the beginning!) The next accepted spelling of Asia is Aja. I seem to recall an actress or a rock star with Aja as a name, but I just tried googling for it and can't find it right now.

If your heart is set on Noelle as a middle.. you could probably use Aja but just be prepared to pronounce and/or spell it for people as it's not all that common and it may get pronounced "AH-jah".

Good Luck!

Devin
