I would definitely pick a 3 syllable name to go with the 4 and 2 syll other names you have for her.

I chose Madeline as my 3 syll name because it sounds nice, was the easiest to spell and clearly showed gender.

Addison Elizabeth Prentice- I love the nn Addy, but Addison seems masculine to me. Have you considered Adeline or Adelaide?
Annabel Elizabeth Prentice - very sweet
Brieana Elizabeth Prentice - dislike this spelling, but the name is nice
Hayley Elizabeth Prentice - very sweet
Kaetlyn Elizabeth Prentice -dislike this spelling
Kayleigh Elizabeth Prentice - too popular
Mackenzie Elizabeth Prentice - too trendy and popular, becoming outdated
Madeline Elizabeth Prentice - like this, although the nn Maddy is popular
Madison Elizabeth Prentice - see Mackenzie
Sasha Elizabeth Prentice - very pretty

Faves:
#1) Sasha
#2) Annabal
#3) Hayley (although prefer Hailey spelling)

We could also spell Brieana as "Brieanna" or "Brianna" ... I like having an "e" in it so we can nickname her "Brie."

We could also spell Annabel as "Anabelle."

We could also spell "Kaetlyn" as "Katelyn" or "Kaitlyn" but we were looking for a more original/Irish spelling.

We could also spell Hayley as "Hayleigh" which I think I actually like better?!

THANKS in advance for all of your advice! :)

I voted for Annabel but see that Sasha is in the lead. Have you considered:

Alexandra Elizabeth Prentice, nn Sasha

Sasha is usually a nn for Alexandra so thought I would at least suggest it. Good luck!

Sasha all the way!!!

There's no comparison to ANY of the others. It's an underused beauty that's sassy on a tot and sexy on a woman.

The others are trendy and/or used A LOT!

Best wishes,

Ginger and Grantson (my 10 year old son, who totally agrees with me about Sasha)

I love both Madeline and Sasha. Both are beautiful. Mackenzie, Madison, Hayley, Kaileigh, Brieanna and Addison are all just far too trendy for my taste. I think all of those names are going to wind up sounding very dated in a decade or so. Annabel is a nice choice, just not a favorite of mine.

We could also spell Brieana as "Brieanna" or "Brianna" ... I like having an "e" in it so we can nickname her "Brie."

You can nickname her "Brie" regardless of the spelling. The letters don't have to be there exactly for the spelling of the nickname. Think about lots of common nicknames -- Jamie for James, Jennie for Jennifer, Jessie for Jessica, Bobby for Robert, Billy for William, etc., -- we add and change letters all the time when spelling nicknames. No one will bat an eye if you name her Brianna and call her Brie.

We could also spell "Kaetlyn" as "Katelyn" or "Kaitlyn" but we were looking for a more original/Irish spelling.

If you want a spelling that is less common and more Irish, why don't you go with the original/authentic spelling of Caitlin? It's far less popular than the popular K spellings (according to SSA

Wow, I REALLY wanted to vote for Annabel Elizabeth, for two reasons. First of all, I don't like many of the names on the list (ESPECIALLY Brieana...I don't like Briana under the best of circumstances, but this spelling really turned me off). And second of all, Annabel is a very, very pretty name; I really love it! But, I voted for Madeline (even though I prefer Madeleine) because Annabel Elizabeth's monogram would spell APE! And that would be so horrible!

I just read your post, and I had something to add: Brie is cheese. Bree is a name. I'm never in favor of changing the spelling of a name just to accommodate a nickname, but it this case, I'm particularly against it because of the whole cheese thing. Plus, there are many other great names that lend themselves to Bree as a nickname that sound a little more professional, sophisticated, and grown-up than Briana. Bree is a great name!
