None of the first names are really my style at all (too trendy!) but I think Lara is beautiful. It flows much better with Camden and I like the nn Cami, so my vote went to Camden Lara.

Camden sounds likes a car to me....like a Camry. Actually, "camry" is like the perfect combination of Rylin and Camden.

It sounds like you're trying too hard. I think you would be happier (0ver a longer period of time) with a name like:

Cameron Raleigh
Campbell Raleigh
Lara Raleigh (pretty!)
Lara Cameron
McKenna Lara
Lara McKenna

hi again!!Doesnt Cameron sound more like a Camry, than Camdyn does? Campbell, reminds me too much of the soup!Lara Mckenna is pretty, but I just want something a little more unique.Lara I want as a middle name like mine. You really dont like Rylin?Does it just sound ugly or boring?I like Riley, but I just got bored of hearing it so much.So I thought Rylin kind of sounded fresh or pretty for a little girl. This really is the hardest decision yet for me.How do I narrow it down?

If I go with Camdyn, which spelling looks more pretty? Camden OR Camdyn?

I like Lara, but the rest are nms. Camden is a dirty, crime-ridden city in NJ (and Camdyn is just a trendy-looking, not-unique-at-all misspelling), and Rylin looks like a typo of Rylie and also lacks any uniqueness (following at least TWO current trends -- unisex names for girls - especially names with an Irish feel - AND changing the end of a random name to -lin/-lyn to try and feminize it or make it seem like a new name).

Lara is lovely though. HTH

I for one love Rylin Lara or Makenna because it's different. I also like Camdyn but I have a nephew named Kamden so to me it seems boyish. But I love it so you can't go wrong with either one. Good luck with your difficult choice but I do think that you are on the right track.

I think Camcyn - it's more feminine.

I agree that Cameron is much more reminiscent of Camry than Camden. I really like the name Camden (I HATE, HATE, HATE Camdyn). Misspelling the name does not make it original or feminine; it just makes it misspelled. If you have trouble with the androgyny of Camden, then I think you're going to have to deal with the name itself, not the spelling. I think that the sound of Camden Lara is a little awkward, but that has to do with the way the names sound together, not my dislike for either one of them. I would like Lara better as the first name, but you said that you wanted to keep in the middle, like yours, and I respect that.

I have a question for you: Is the name Lara pronounced like Laura, or is it pronounced more like lair-uh?

Here are a few other possibilities. Some are similar in style to the two you mentioned, and some are similar in sound. If you're not interested in other names, just ignore the post from here on down! :-)

Hadley
Bronwen
Ripley
Raleigh
Regan/Reagan
Rhys/Reece/Reese
Reed/Reid
Reeves
Reilly (this is a legitimate alternate spelling for Riley)
Rowan
Ryland
Caroline
Carys
Catalin
Chandler
Charlotte/Charlye/Chase
Claudia
Collier
Carson
Corbett
Coy
Morgan
Leslie
Blair/Blaire
Hunter
Meredith
Piper
Bronte
Blythe
Bailey

I really think that adding cutesy y's into names looks really uneducated. It just looks made up to me. Camden is also the murder capitol of New Jersey, not really something to name your child after!

No, cameron does NOT soudn more like Camry than Camden....mainly because Cameron is a real name with a real history and thus, it holds its own. Camden is the name of a city (and not a nice city) in New Jersey. It lacks all the panache/honor that the old name of Cameron has. And so, although Camry and cameron have more letters in common, they are less alike than Camry and Camden.

No, I don't like Rylin. I don't like Riley either, really but much prefer it to Rylin. I am just getting so tired of all these names that are being invented just by adding an 'n,' 'in,' 'en,' or 'an' to the end of a perfectly normal name: Rylin, Braden, Jaden, etc. It takes a perfectly acceptable name and makes it very ordinary/like all the rest of them. I strongly encourage you to use Lara as the fn. It is a lovely name and the others just scream mn. Or try some of the names I saw in a later post...

Bronwyn Lara
Lara Raleigh (beautiful!)
Carys Reilly
Lara Bronte
Chandler Reese
Cameron Reese
and I still really like: Lara McKenna

i still think you can do better than Camden Lara or Rylin Lara!
