Seriously, you can put all of these in one poll (or two if you want to do one for just J names or whatever). You'll find you'll get a lot more votes, especially from those with slower internet connections who'd rather not sit and wait for a dozen different pages to load just to vote between two names each time, KWIM? I know there are probably some sites out there that don't let you put more than two or three choices, but you can put about ten per poll on iVillage.
Just echoing what Kelli said -- please put these all in one or two polls. I voted in the first four or five, but eventually gave up because I got sick of opening a zillion individual polls and voting for the same combination of names all the time. Just make one poll with all the choices, you'll get more votes and a more accurage idea of which people like best.
Also, when you post so many polls at one time, other posters' polls get bumped off the front page. So not only do your polls get less response (because people quickly tire of voting on the same names over and over and over), but the polls of others do too, due to less visibility. That's not fair to them.
So please place all of your names into one poll. Then if you must, take the top vote getters and put them in another poll. Thanks!
Also, you are taking polls on very common, very recognizable names. For something like this, you can just start up a regular discussion topic and ask about a whole bunch of names.
I mean, Sarah and Emily are not anything that any of us have never heard before, so people are either going to tell you that they like it...or they are going to tell you that they are common names that also "work" with your last name.
It seems like you are going for a traditional, well-used, recognizable name. I don't know how much of an opinion anyone can give you on these when chances are, all of us have had contact with woman/children having these names and have formulated associations with the names as a result. But, since they ARE such well-known names, people probably have any possible association with the name on the face of the earth, from "oh, I knew a Sarah and she was stunning!!" to, "I know an Emily and she is very perky but yet also simpering and a tightwad", to "oh, I know a Sarah AND an Emily! They are twins!! Such sweet girls!" You're going to hear it all, b/c you're not picking names that people don't have a history with.
I hope it doesn't sound like I'm criticizing your choices, I'm not... they are lovely names. I just think that there are other names that need more face time b/c they are more "new" to the group, choices that are less common, or come from different ethnic backgrounds, etc.
