Should Emma's little sister be named Maya or Kate?

I think Kate and Emma go very well together. They sound like sisters. :) Maya just doesn't go as well, in my opinion. Good luck deciding! :)

My cousins that are sisters are named Emma and Grace. I think they really work well together! Just a suggestion!

I think Emma and Maya sound too similar as far as the sounds go... and also I think Maya is a more modern name whereas Emma and Kate are both beautiful classic names that match up well. I vote for Kate (doesn't hurt that it's my name too!)

To me, Kate "matches" much more with Emma. Emma and Kate make me think of Jane Austen. Maya makes me think of Maya Angelou in flowing wild prints. It's got a much more modern, hip vibe to it.

Kate is just so darn popular around here (so is Emma I guess) that I generally have a tough time voting for it, however as much as I love the name Maya I think it sounds much to close to Emma for you to use. I can't imagine how tripped up I would get trying to call in Emma and Maya for dinner.

I really like Maya, but like the other posters commented it's very close sounding to Emma. I'd suggest maybe Amaya.

Kate is NMS.
