We're pretty sure we're having a girl, but just in case...I kinda like the name Breckin (and so does DH!!!). My dad's name is Barry. Does Breckin Barry sound too ice creamy? Or perhaps cereal brand-ish?

Thanks!!

Michelle

Now I would not have thought of it myself, but once I read Breckin Barry, it did sound like cereal to me! But again, it wasn't something that I would have thought of on my own. But in all honesty, he won't be referred to his full name that often, only by his first and last name, so if you really wanted to use it, I think it would be fine, especially since the name Barry is a family name!

Both names are nice, but together it does kind of remind me of Frankenberry Crunch cereal.

It doesn't matter what any of us think though, go with what YOU want! It's not a name that will require 18 years of therepy and believe me, I've seen some that will!

Congrats!

No, no...this is for a boy...just in case. Those ultrasounds have been known to be deceiving, so we want to be prepared. And Breckin is a Celtic name, meaning "freckled," which isn't the most appealing meaning, but it is what it is.

I don't pronounce Barry like Berry, so it doesn't sound like an ice cream flavor to me, but I think in other parts of the country it might. (I'm in the Boston area.)

I LOVE the name Breckin! Its really nice. I don't think it sounds ice cream flavourish at all, whatever that means.
