I like all the names on this list. If your DH really doesn't like Georgia or Lucy, I think you shoudl go ahead and scrap them. There are other great names on the list so there is no reason to coerce him into a name he doesn't like. (assuming he really, truly doesn't like these and isn't wavering).

That leave:

Felicity
Caroline
Evelyn
Elinor

All of which are lovely. With Amelia and Jonah, I'd go with something a little less expected, which eliminates Caroline. That leaves Felicity, Evelyn and Elinor. Personally, I like them in that order, but I think all three are winners. Any of them would be perfect with Amelia and Jonah.

This was a close one for me, so I'll comment. ;)

Felicity -- this GMV. Love the name, and it seems perfect with Amelia.

Georgia (dh doesn't like) -- nothing against it, but not my favorite from your list. I'd stay away from another -ia ending, if possible, and if you use Georgia I wouldn't use Jonah for a future son (same beginning AND ending sounds, KWIM?), so this one kind of boxes you in as far as future choices.

Caroline (don't like Carrie) -- I've never, ever, EVER known a Caroline to go by Carrie. I've never even heard a friend, family member, teacher, stranger, etc. try to shorten Caroline to Carrie in passing. Never. In other words, this wouldn't concern me. Not my favorite for you, but still good.

Lucy (dh doesn't like) -- If dh doesn't like it, it's out ... sorry! ;) The same goes for Georgia (just forgot to mention it above).

Evelyn -- I like it, but I like others better with Amelia.

Elinor (no nn) -- Since you specified no nn, this would be my second choice for you. Bonus = this spelling is six letters like Amelia's name. ;)

So in order of preference, I'd say Felicity, Elinor, Caroline, Evelyn and eliminate Georgia and Lucy.

HTH

I agree with dropping the names that dh doesn't like since there are still great names left on the list.

first, I wouldn't use a name your DH vetos. So Georgia & Lucy are out.

Of the remaining names, I dislike Felicity.

I voted for Elinor, although I prefer the Eleanor spelling. Either spelling is ok.

Caroline would be second.

Does your husband like Lucia? I actually prefer this name over Lucy.

I like Felicity-there is an American girl named this who has reddish hair.

I am partial to Sara because I have a daughter with this name. Even though we did not intend for her to have a nickname she calls herself Sasi and one of my older daughters call her Sari. Sadie is also a nickname. A very classic name that never goes out of style! It means princess.

Here are some more suggestions:

Annabelle or just Anna
Nellie
Mary
Betty
Nancy-there are two at my daughters school
Emma
Jane
Ella
Millie
Margaret
Elizabeth
