I voted other. Tallulah is one of those names that I can only see celebrity children getting away with. Some people on this board really like Tallulah and I am learning to appreciate its charm. Tallulah does have a lot of fun nn: Lulu, Lula, Tally/Tallie, and Tula, but I still have reservations. I do think that Moses and Tallulah sound great together. I think that Talia, nn Tally/Tallie is a good option too.
wow- everyones feed back on this name is WAY better then i expected! lol!
my mom suggested it to me the other day and i thought it was just great! LOVE the nn Lula. but for some reason dh is totally on board so i think i am going to make him read these replies tonight so he knows im not making this name up.
I'm on the fence. I immediately think of Tallulah Bankhead - the old actress from the 20s-50s. She has been described as anything from ditzy, to brash and brazen. She also was apparently the inspiration for Cruella Deville.
It also sort of reminds me of "Towanda" from 'Fried Green Tomatoes.'
That said, I'm sure not that many people would make those connections (I'm an old movie buff, which is why I go there). It does sound nice with Moses, but I'm still only about 60% sold on it.
Other got my vote. I like the sound of Tallulah and its many nickname options, but it's too Hollywood for me. In fact, I don't have any associations for Tallulah that aren't related to celebrities: Tallulah Bankhead and Tallulah Belle Willis.
Moses and Tallulah are a very harmonious sibset, and I love the sound of them together...but I really dislike the fact that both sound like starbabies, Gwyneth Paltrow's and Demi Moore/Bruce Willis's respectively. I don't even keep track of celebrities and their offspring, and the connection still hit me, just as it would if you were considering Moses and Hazel or Moses and Sean Preston ;)
Wow. Way to go, mom. ;) My mother usually suggests things like Emily, Sophia or Madison (you know, because they're so "uncommon" LOL). Sounds like yours has great taste. ;)
i totally hear you about the 'starbabies' thing- but moses wasnt even intentional, after my moses was born, i remember dh calling me from work telling me gweneth just had a baby boy naming him moses- we were so annoyed, but then figured- hey she's just got good taste too:) lol.
and for awhile i thought that i needed to purposefully AVOID starbaby names, but the thing is i LIKE alot of those names. i love Hazel and Scout and Tallulah and Violet and i think it is silly NOT to use a truly great name b/c some lady you dont know in hollywood has the same taste, kwim?
it is one thing to avoid a name b/c your cousin used it, or your dh's bf from college used it, its another to avoid names that someone you have zero connection to used it. but-----anyways..i think you get what i mean:)

LOVE it! So spunky and pretty. Lulu or Lula are adorable nn's... or even Tally works, but I like Lulu best. Great choice.

Love it, love it, LOVE IT! ;) If I could have voted more than once, I would have. LOL
And I agree with the others ... Moses and Tallulah are brilliant. Couldn't think of a better combo offhand. ;)
