I am expecting a Tula next month, so of course I LOVE the name.

Since I am familiar with the long story, that's why I voted for Tallula Scarlett. It took me a long time to vote in this one, I have literally being thinking about this since you posted the poll, lol!
In the end, I picked it mainly because I know how much you love the name, and I think it is the one you would regret the most not using if you do have another girl. I also voted this way because, as you know, I love the nn Tess/Tessa, and Tess would give you a different ending than all of your other girls, yet completely fits in perfectly. Its unexpected, yet instantly loved!

As for Jane, I knew right away that would be the leader, but agree, it is too expected and therefore, not that interesting.

Surprised you remembered the Talulla Scarlett/T.S./Tess story, Jina. ;)

It's funny, one of the reasons I love Talulla so much is that my father has always called my mother Lulu, but for that very reason I've been unsure if using Talulla AND calling her Lulu would be too odd/confusing ... something. LOL I liked Lula or even Tula to avoid using the same exact nn, at least when we're around my parents, but those are just too close to Aila IMO. That's how I began toying with things like Talulla Scarlett, nn Tess, and Talulla Cecily, nn Lucy -- both because it would avoid any awkwardness, though Lulu's always there if she wanted it, and because they happened to be mns and nns I also loved. Kind of win-win with either. ;) Might not make sense to many, but it works for me. LOL

Thanks for the vote and comments, btw. Think I'll have to

Oohh, I really like this one too, I didn't know about the Lucy nn. I may have to change my vote again (I voted for Eleanor at first, because I know how much you love Nora, but changed because of the reasons I already mentioned). But now I am starting to love the feel of Lucy, especially with your girls. Cecily has never been a favorite of mine though, so I'm not sure I would change for sure. I do love Lucy here though, probably better then I like Tess actually. Hmm, I'll have to think about it.

LOL! You're too much fun, Jina. ;)

I don't believe I've ever mentioned the Lucy nn (at least in detail) on here before. Just something I'd cooked up on my own. I'd actually be open to it with any C mn

I can't vote. I just can't do it. There are just too many choices that I LOVE for me to pick just one. Here are my favorites though:

Imogen Tallula (I'm SO loving Imogen lately. And I think I could actually get Jamie on board with it since she so loves Imogen Heap. But I can't decide if we'd ever really use it. We probably won't...which means you need to! )
Tallula Scarlett
Tallula Niamh
Tallula Carys

Hey, Annie! Long time no see. ;)

I just figured you didn't like Talulla. LOL As to Imogen, I'm loving Imogen Talulla lately as well (moved it into the top three, btw), especially since Jay saw the name in some movie credits and actually said it was "cool." Guess that means it *might* stand a shot if I ever have need to bring it up again (last time, you'll recall, it got a response of basically "imagine that" LOL ... though I don't find an association with imagination a bad thing, so I just think he was being silly).

And I've decided that -- as it stands now -- if we do ever have a fourth girl, I'm stating outright that I want Talulla somewhere in there. Jay seems to find problems with all the long lists I give him, but when I tell him one name I absolutely like, he's usually more receptive (like when I mentioned Fiora, all by itself, as a lone suggestion for Aila's mn, the rest of the list I'd been composing was never even viewed LOL).

Talulla Niamh is a favorite, btw, since you know I'd love a way to get to use Niamh, but I'm afraid he might insist on a more "familiar" mn with Talulla IRL. Nothing to worry about for quite some time, however, so I'm keeping it. LOL

Btw, Kate lost her first tooth this past weekend. She was so excited. I made up a special certificate and letter from the tooth fairy and left them with a new (musical! LOL) toothbrush and $5 (Jay's a big-spending tooth fairy LOL). She was thrilled ... wanted to take her "letters" into school to show everyone. hehe

That's my update for now. Take care!

IMHO I hate the name Tallula.. sounds very Southern-like from Georgia or Alabama.. i dont know if you're going for that feel. I do like Imogen even though that's the name of that band.

Nope. Actually Talulla (this spelling, btw) is Irish. Completely separate origin, meaning, etc. from Tallulah, despite the obvious similarity. ;)

Plenty of Southern-feel names are lovely, however, so I definitely don't mind the association if others would have it, and it's certainly a practical one, given Tallulah Bankhead (probably many people's most familiar point of reference for the name), who WAS from Alabama.

It's interesting, but many of our family names or some I simply like might have a bit of a Southern vibe to many, despite almost all our extended family having been born and raised in either PA or IL. Eudora, Elmira, Miller, Boyd, Iola, Iona, Tracy and Kelly (both boys), Scarlett, Morgan, Dorian, Lorna, Darla, Tristan, Oran, Tate, Wesley, etc.

Still doesn't strike me as a bad thing, however. Especially with Talulla, which holds the Irish association and also

Aw, no. I love Talulla. I've just been crazy busy with RL and not online nearly as much as I am normally. I'll send you an email soon and catch you up. :)

I love how excited Kate is about the tooth fairy. That's adorable! Jay's going to be cringing when he starts adding up how much all those teeth are going to cost him. ;)
