I know, Annie. I was just kidding.
And Kate was SOO excited ... you can't even imagine. LOL I made her up a certificate and letter signed by "Oonagh, Queen of the Fairies" (figured I could look something up online and "show" her that she really is QOTF that way ), and she was absolutely breathless with excitement. "The QUEEN came herself because my teeth were so sparkly!" ROFL She shall cherish them forever (or at least until someone tells her I'm the tooth fairy hehe).
And not to worry about the expense. That $5 won't be the going rate for any and all future teeth ... just the first one. Kate was very excited that she got her rather than the "Nickel Fairy" -- who's apparently quite the cheapskate -- but she knows that was only because it was her first lost tooth and Oonagh happens to be a big spender. ;) She thinks she'll probably get a $1 Fairy next time. Gotta love that childhood reasoning. ;)
I'll stop threadjacking my own thread (LOL) and reply to your email. ;)

A letter from Oonagh, eh? What a cute idea! I'll have to remember that one. My dad used to write letters from Santa Claus and the Easter bunny...until I wised up and questioned why they both had the same handwriting, ROFL. I guess I was a somewhat precocious child. That wasn't the only time I brought a tiny detail to adults' attention.
We got typed letters from the Easter bunny after that. The next letter from Santa explained that he was tired of writing E.B.'s letters for him, and had given him a typewriter for Christmas. After all, rabbits can't write letters themselves...no opposable thumbs to hold a pencil or pen. LOL.
Ahh ... that's why I printed the letter out on special paper (bought just for the occasion) with a frilly, fairy-like handwritten font (or what I'd assume a fairy's writing looks like LOL) and used a fairy pic on the top -- Kate swears it "looks just like Oonagh!" -- and an official fairly "seal" on the bottom (just another image I pulled offline that looked like it would work LOL). And don't worry ... I hid the printer paper. ;)
Jay always writes the letters from Santa with his left hand in sort of block-like letters. Not enough to make Santa look illiterate, but just enough to make it NOT look like Jay's writing. LOL
