Torn on boys name & 2 girls names

We currently have 2 little boys, both with one syllable names (Trent & Bryce.) It's been hard enough to think of another boys name that we like, but we tend to graviate toward one syllable boys names. I am leaning toward Tate, but recently learned that my brother's girlfriend (possibly future wife) just got a dog by that same name. Is this a big deal, because now that the laughter & initial shock has worn off, I think I'm okay with it. Also, does Tate sound too much like Trent? What do you think? Also, if you have any other suggestions for one syllable boys names, I would REALLY appreciate it.

As far as girls names go, I think we've narrowed it down to Kennedy Nicole & Sadie Nicole. I would also like your opinion on which you like better.

Thanks so much!!!!

Sarah Nicole sounds nicest to me. And Sadie will constantly be explaining that she isn't Sarah anyway, so unless there's a compelling reason to give her nothing but a nickname, I'd avoid that route.

Tate isn't my style, but it's just fine with Trent. No one will mistake the names for each other. When you holler for Trent, Tate won't turn around and vice versa. I think that's all you should worry about. If you like Tate, go for it.

Funny you should put Zev on the bottom.

Apparently, they've had the dog for a month or so & I've yet to meet him. I don't think we would see the dog that often. They did tell me that they sometimes call him Tater Tot....maybe they would continue to call the dog by his nickname if we have a boy. Thanks so much for your input.!

Sadie seems to be the one that the majority prefers. So, thanks so much for your input on this & on the Tate/Trent issue. I've always loved Cade (one of your suggestions) . Unfortunately, our neighbor boy next door is named Cade & we're really good friends with his family. But, Wade is definitely worth consideration. Thanks again!!

I appreciate your honesty & your suggestions. It really helps, as you don't always get that from friends or family when you ask these same questions. I've always liked Cole & Graham has really begun to grow on me. Your opinion on the the Kennedy vs Sadie question seems to be that of the majority. Pending us having a girl, it is swaying towards Sadie. I agree, it is a pretty girly/cutsie name. Thanks again!!!

The middle name for Tate will be either Victor (after my husband's grandfather) or Joseph. The only thing about Joseph, is he might be tagged a TJ later on in life...not sure if I feel strongly one way or the other about that. Thanks for the helpful advice!!!

I like Nate a lot, but one of my closest friends has a 2 year old named Nate & I have a cousin Nate. So, that's out.

I guess I never thought of Sadie as a nickname. I just heard it & then looked it up in a baby name book & it said it was a form of Sarah.

I appreciate your honesty.
