Just curious... Has anyone gotten 2 different ultrasound readings b/w the doctor & technician?

The doctor said the picture looks fuzzy - maybe a boy.

The technician says - definately a girl.

How frustrating! Are you having a level II? I had mine 2 weeks ago & luckily the technician, doctor, and DH & I (with our laymen's eyes) say girl. If this child comes out a boy, he'll just have to live with lots of pink for a few weeks! After two boys, I'm going a little crazy with the girly stuff.

Best of luck on the next ultrasound.

If I had to vote, I would say GIRL. Given your history and the tech (yes I would go with the technician over the obstetritian) I would definitely guess you're having another girl. At least you are good at naming babies! =D Hugs,

I second Liz's recommendation to trust the tech's opinion more than the doctor. :) My money's on a girl. Hopefully your little one will be more cooperative next week, and you can get a better look.

My sister had two USs and both times the tech and dr told her that the baby was a girl. My nephew obviously did not care what everyone else thought because he's a boy.

I asked my SIL (an ob/gyn) about it and she said that most of the time, if you don't get a perfect shot, most mistakes are that boys are identified as girls not that girls are identified as boys.

Actually, Donna, you might remember a friend of mine who was told by several ultrasounds AND an amnio that she was definitely having a boy ... only to give birth to her second daughter. ;) The only really reliable method is birth.

All three of my ulstrasounds predicted girls, so they were right on for me.
