I certainly don't mean to offend anyone or get too personal, but I am very interested to see how people's religious beliefs affect their decision to have children. I plan to ask the same question on the 'child-free by chioce' board. Thanks a lot!

I think your poll is worded in a way that makes it misleading. I know a whole lot of people who believe vaguely in a god or higher power of some sort who definitely do not consider themselves to be religious. I think you need a few more options. At the very least:

I do not consider myself religious, as I do not personally believe in organized religion. But I do consider myself a spiritual person.

Wow, I think about this alot. I really, really want to believe in a higher power, or in God. But then again sometimes I think that it is just a nice concept, kind of like Santa or the Easter Bunny. Where is the proof?

Recently two little girls were murdered in our community...things like this really shake my belief in a higher power (GOD). But yet...I WANT to believe. Crazy, aren't I?

Ok, you did say you WANTED to believe, so I am climbing up on my soap box. Consider yourself warned ;-)
God never promised to remove evil from this world- it's out there and it's real! He even said that we all have the right to free will- free choice- for good or for evil. LOTS of people make BAD choices which do effect others. But the promise is that if you will turn to him and REALLY believe that He can use even bad/evil things for good. (The first examples that come to mind are John Walsh and medical advances that come from others who have suffered- as in "Lorenzo's Oil".) Ok, I'm done....steps down.
