Love Elizabeth but dislike Betsy. I like Elizabeth or Beth.

I'm one of the "love it" votes. ;)

Betsy is one of my favorite nns for Elizabeth. I also like Bess, Bette, Bettie/y, Eliza/Liza, Elise, Elsa, Elsie, Lily and Izzy ... probably because nearly every Elizabeth I've known has been Liz(zy), Libby or Beth, the other options just seem so much fresher, KWIM?

You might also consider the Elisabeth spelling, especially if you do like Betsy or one of the other "s" nns. Just a thought! ;)

Betsy is my favorite nickname for Elizabeth! So, of course, I voted "I love it."

My other favorites are Lizzy, Liza, and Bess. I really dislike Beth.

Great tastes! :o)

I love Besty. Very preppy. I also like Libby as a nn.

Well, DH has firmly vetoed Betsy:(

I really like both Eliza and Elise. We have considered Elise as a given name, since it's a derivative of Elizabeth (my name). I do not like it as much as some of my other options, though.

Do you think Eliza would be too close to my name (Elizabeth, nn Liz) to name a daughter that?
