That's Trot? First I read Troy, which is fine. I have to say that the first thing I thought of when I realized you typed Trot was the expression "he has the trots" which means "he has diarrhea". Not a great image. Sorry!

I have to admit I don't care for the name Trot, it makes me think it's a horse's name!

I have to agree with the pp. A few of the men in my family like "colorful" wording, and they refer to certain "stomach troubles" (ahem) as the trots as well. Couldn't name anyone after that particular ailment no matter what my husband thought. ;)

Since I live in the Northeast all I can think of is the popular children's song "trot, trot to Boston, trot, trot to Lynn, watch out baby 'cause you might fall in."

Although I like the sound of the name Trot, I think it could set a baby up to be made fun of terribly.

I don't care for it at all. It doesn't sound nice and it reminds me of a horse. If thats what you're going for, what about Colton or Ryder? I like those much better.

lol, ahem.

No, I don't think Trot would be a good idea AT ALL. Tell DH when he can push 'em out, he can name 'em Trot.

Oh no, not a good idea.

Maybe he likes the one syllable - ending in a hard consonant kind of names. How about:

Hart
Mark
Kent
Brock
Chad
Dirk
Rock
Trent

Or maybe it's a Tr name he wants:
Trent (again!)
Troy
Trevor
Tristan

Good Luck!

Is your husband a baseball fan by any chance? Trot Nixon plays for the Braves (I think).
Not sure how I feel about it.

Maybe Trotter for a middle name, but I don't care for Trot. What about Trent, it's similar and much nicer, imo.
