I think that all three names are very beautiful but I'm not sure about all of them together. It seems like there may be too many "ai" sounds in the name. It doesn't sound bad really, it's just different which I think is great.

I like Cadence, spelled this way. C.J. or even Cady are cute nns.

If you want a "J" name in the middle, how about Cadence Joy? You could even do Cadence Joy Raine, and C.J. will still work, but you won't have all of those long "a" sounds in there. Cadence Jillian or Cadence Jill or Cadence Juliet would also be cute.

Good luck!

Oh, sweet Lord, have you just completely lost your mind? I apologize, but this is honestly my first reaction. The name Cadence is already pretty unique, and it has a delightfully musical connotation. So, I fail to understand why you felt the need to spell it this way--surely it wasn't to make it "different". It just makes it utterly unrecognizable. Also, I'm completely bored with naming children Rain, Meadow, and Willow.

Along that same vein, could someone please, please explain to me this urge people have to misspell names? I just don't understand. Just the other day, I read a birth announcement where parents had named their daughter Kynnydye--is that supposed to be Kennedy??? The child will have to live with the name for HIS OR HER ENTIRE LIFE for goodness sake! Why would you sentence your child to a lifetime of correcting misspellings and mispronunciations?

Of course, I understand that some names have different spellings (Elisabeth, Elizabeth; Catherine, Katherine; Isabelle, Isabel, Isobel), but these different spellings stem from their separate developments from separate languages, not from some parent's overzealous attempt to "individualize" the name. If you must use one of the names, name her Jada, or at least Cadence Jada...get rid of the Raine/Rain altogether. Believe me, your daughter will thank you.

i'm sorry--i think the whole name looks more than a bit contrived with the repeated AI's. its not the repeated long A sounds that bother me (alliteration is a poetic device) but rather the spelling. it looks like it is trying too hard. as others have suggested, Cadence Jada Raine is not as objectionable if you want the double middle name thing going on. You could also auditorally (sp?) condense it to Cadence Reina (means queen) and still have the sound and feel of Jada with a nod to the family name. (and maybe someone has posted this already--but it could also be condensed to Cadence Jane--which i think is really sweet, particularly for the combination of the unique/unexpected with the traditional/simple.)

cheers!

To the mom who responded that an unusual spelling will help a child find his way in life...I really think that, although names are important in determining who we are, and an occasional tweak in a spelling of a common name can sort of help you stand out a bit on paper, spelling the name Caidynce like that really is a bit much. Cadence is a unusual name in and of itself and any little girl named such would stand out in a crow without having to spell her name three times for everyone.

My name is Alyson, which is an unusual spelling of a VERY common name, so I do think I have some valid perspective on this matter. I agree with SoccerMom that the spelling really does harm to the names own intrinsic value and draws attention only to the weird spelling.

JMHO.
