I have a lot of family that live in Carrington, North Dakota so I can only think of it as a city.

I didn't vote. I don't like it or dislike it. It's just okay. I would think using Carri as a nn but for some reason it just doesn't seem right.

Who knows!

Carrington is cute, its different...but I really like it as a long name with the nickname of Carri... I think its cute when normal names, like Carri, have a longer name.. Although its a bit long for every day, in my opinion, but its very nice none the less...

My friend's son name is Carrington. I like it but I guess I see it as a boy's name because he is the only Carrinton I know. Carrington was the mom's maiden name too.

As far as nicknames... the Carrignton I know goes by Putt. As a baby he was Putt-Putt or Putter. Now that he's 12 his mom still calls him Putt and amazingly so does his friends. Of course Putt has nothing to do with the name Carrington, it was just his baby nickname that stuck.

I think Carrington could work for a girl. I know a girl name Kennedy and I think that's a boy's name as well. Unisex names are not my style.

My friend suggested this name for our child. Personally, it is not a bad name but it is not my style. The reason I don't like it is that I think it's very "yuppie" sounding and that's not how I want my child to identify himself or herself. But as far as names go, there is nothing weird or ugly about it.
